A lot of great points there and again, I think it all boils down to the individual person. There are as many eating plans as there are people and it's an individual preference on how to approach weight loss. Mostly, it's a mindset. I wouldn't track and measure if I felt comfortable in my abilities in portion control. Tracking is a tool for people who need to get a handle on portion control. I always hope that when I get to my goal weight and am finished losing, I'll feel more comfortable trusting my unmeasured portions. Unfortunately right now I just plain want more than I'm supposed to have!
I have the Gourmet Nutrition cookbook (hard version, not ebook) from Precision Nutrition and it's got excellent recipes in it.
